In order to promote the research and cooperation in the field of compound semiconductor, the BUPT - Hubei Jiufengshan Laboratory seminar was successfully held in our school on the morning of April 21. Ding Qichao, director of Jiufengshan Laboratory in Hubei Province, and experts Wu Chang, Yang Bing, Yuan Jun, Xu Yannan and Liu Ying participated in the seminar in offline or online ways. Executive dean of the School of Electronic Engineering Zhang Jie, deputy dean Zhang Min and Sang Xinzhu, Lu Pengfei, Li Peigang and Duan Xiaofeng from the State Key Laboratory of Information Photonics and Optical Communication attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the dean Zhang Jie first delivered a welcome speech to the visiting experts and briefly introduced the running situation of the School of Electronic Engineering. Director Ding Qichao thanked the school for its warm reception and hoped to promote the cooperation between the two sides in the field of compound semiconductor through this seminar. Then Vice President Zhang Min and visiting expert Xu Yannan introduced the construction of the State Key Laboratory of Information Photonics and Optical Communication and the Laboratory of Jiufengshan, Hubei respectively. The participants focused on the research topics they were interested in and expressed their expectations for further in-depth discussion in the direction of compound semiconductors in the future.
